Cyclarity Therapeutics' Clinical Advisory Board will guide its clinical development of drug candidate UDP-003 for the treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis, primary coronary artery disease, and associated cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Michael E. Farkouh, MD, MSc
Associate Dean for Research and Clinical Trials and Professor of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Hospital
Dr. Farkouh, is the Associate Dean for Research and Clinical Trials and professor of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai. He was previously the Peter Munk Chair in Multinational Clinical Trials at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre and director of the Heart & Stroke/Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence in Cardiovascular Research. Dr. Farkouh served as the founding director of the Mount Sinai Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit in New York City. He has served as project officer for numerous clinical trials related to heart disease, including the U.S. National Institutes of Health-sponsored FREEDOM trial. He chairs the committee on diabetes and heart disease at the Banting and Best Centre and at the University of Toronto. Dr. Farkouh has received the Gold Medal from John Paul II Hospital in Krakow, Poland, and was awarded the Jan J. Kellermann Memorial Award for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention from the International Academy of Cardiology. Dr. Farkouh serves as section editor for Diabetes at the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Prediman K. Shah, MD
Director of Inpatient Cardiology and the Coronary Care Unit, Founder and Director of the Oppenheimer Atherosclerosis Research Center, Cedars-Sinai Hospital
Dr. Shah is ranked among the top cardiologists in the country. In over 35 years as an attending cardiologist with Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Shah has assumed leadership roles including director of inpatient cardiology and the coronary care unit in addition to his role as founder and director of the Helga and Walter Oppenheimer Atherosclerosis Research Center and PI of the Prediman Krishan (P. K.) Shah Laboratory. Dr. Shah has made more than 650 contributions to scientific papers, reviews, book chapters, and abstracts, and has co-edited four textbooks on heart disease. He is an active leader of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including Cedars-Sinai’s most prestigious honor, the Pioneer in Medicine Award, as well as the Distinguished Scientist Award from the American College of Cardiology, and the James B. Herrick Award from the American Heart Association.

Prof. Stephen Nicholls

Prof Stephen Nicholls is a world-renowned cardiologist and leads the Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH). Professor Nicholls has written more than 770 manuscripts, book chapters and conference proceedings, and has raised over $100 million in research funding. Since 2012, Professor Nicholls has been Deputy Director and Heart Health Theme Leader at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). He is also Professor of Cardiology at the University of Adelaide, Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Principal Research Fellow of the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia (NHMRC). Professor Nicholls’ research broadly focuses on developing new strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease, involving translational research spanning preclinical human and clinical trials.
